Today is Earth Day, a national day to honor Mother Earth while inspiring appreciation and awareness for the environment. The green movement is founded on utilizing methods and products that help preserve our natural resources for generations to come. Kids are no child development, parentingexception to learning green habits and are actually very receptive. Starting to instill eco-friendly habits in your little ‘greeners’ now will result in conscientious adults not to mention helping the planet along the way. Whether it is throughout the community or at home, there is no better day than today to start so here’s how to celebrate Earth Day with kids:

Going Green for Earth Day

organic baby food, parentingHappy Earth Day!  In honor of the celebration of Mother Earth, Mum Mum’s has compiled a green list of websites aimed at helping mothers, babies, and families go green.   The term “going green″ has been ubiquitous these days, but what exactly does it mean? Wikipedia defines it as: “a broad philosophy and social movement centered on a concern for the conservation and improvement of the natural environment for both its own sake as well as its importance for civilization″.  While Earth Day is only one day a year, the collective global consciousness of protecting ourselves as well as our environment from harmful chemicals and waste is increasing by the minute.
